I ordered these shorts, being a little apprehensive because of the price. But, I am a size 32, ordered a size 32 & they fit perfectly. I base a lot of my purchases off of reviews & this product has a pretty high rating & there’s a reason for that. The shorts are well made, true to size & there is a grip on the inside waistband to help keep the shirt tucked in. I read where it looks “boxy” & “bulky”. No, they’re slim exactly how they are described. I highly recommend these shorts. I can’t wait to get another pair in a different color. Read more

I’m 5′-8″ / 175, mid 40’s and like to drink beer occasionally (no washboard abs here). I normally wear 32″ – 34″ waist depending on the brand pants or shorts. Ordered these in Classic fit 33″ and they fit fine at the waist and crotch, but were very boxy and too wide at the leg for my preference and frame. I returned them and ordered the Slim version in 34″ (1″ bigger waist just to make sure) and the fit was perfect! A little stretch is nice and the inseam is great for us shorter guys. They look better than most of the more expensive brands I own. Bought specifically for golf and they are a little fancier than chinos / khakis. Ended up buying 4 pair. Material is nice and they are a great pair of shorts for the price. Exactly what I was looking for! Read more

The good: For the price, the quality seems solid and the 9″ inseam is a good length. The bad: I’m not sure why these shorts are listed as slim. The leg opening is 11″ which is wider than many regular cut shorts and if you have slim legs these pretty much look like you’re wearing a skirt. Read more

I am wearing a size 38 for reference. The shorts definitely fit nicely around the waist and through the upper leg, but I feel that the opening by the knee is much too large for being a pair of Slim shorts. Comparing my photo to the product image Amazon uses, you can see that the opening doesn’t have the same slenderness, and this could be due to the fact that I am wearing a size 38. I also bought the Classic fit version to compare, and they basically feel identical. Maybe half an inch larger everywhere in my opinion. Read more

Amazing quality and perfect length. I’m on the shorter side and I prefer shorter inseams and this has just that. It’s not short shorts but it sits right above the knees so that it’s comfortable when bending down to look at the greens or place a ball marker down. The right side pocket has an additional small pocket where you can place tees. It’s not as moisture wicking as other lightweight shorts but it’s not super heavy or thick either. It has an elastic band that keeps your shirt tucked inside. I ordered the shorts one waist size larger than I usually wear. FYI – I loved these so now I have two pairs. Read more

Bought 31″ khaki (5’10”, 41″ chest, 31″ waist). Compared them to my pair of name-brand slim-fit golf shorts. I know these are 1/3 of the price of the name-brand shorts and I shouldn’t expect a perfect replacement, but my hope was that they would be a reasonable proxy for the price. The fabric isn’t very stretchy. Much closer to rigid cotton chinos fabric than the stretch material we are all now used to. The 31″ waist was slightly snug out of the bag. 31″ typically fits me well. Without a decent ability for the fabric to stretch, I’d be concerned that they would be too small after going through the wash. The dimensions are not great. The leg openings are 1-2 inches wider than my name-brand shorts, so they didn’t really feel like a slim-fit for me. Also, the length is nearly 2 inches shorter than my name-brand shorts…well above the knee. Read more

I’m 6’2″, 180 lbs and wear a 34″ waist, this was my first Amazon Essentials purchase and I was disappointed that the waist on these shorts is too tight, though I could get them buttoned it took some effort and I did not find that the waist had any stretch to them although the material itself has stretch to it. I’ll send them back and try a size up. And a ps. as others have stated these are not slim fit by any stretch of the imagination. Read more

Bought this one pair as a possible replacement for a ‘legendary name’ golf short that has been a summer go-to for casual shorts beginning to show wear and tear. Never used on the links, but always dressy and in style & now priced in the $50 range. These shorts are well made, comfy, and very acceptable as a replacement. My only complaint… the name brand is 8-loop waist for the belt (perfect), and this new less expensive choice is SIX-loop (not nearly as desirable or easy to keep looking good) and gets disheveled when going about an active day. I am inclined to buy more in other colors because of quality and value, but I will look for an 8-loop alternative before making a final decision because two more belt loops would be worth $5-10 more to me.
