These binoculars are very fussy about eye position from the eyepiece. even the slightest deviation from the “optimal” viewing distance and angle from the eyepiece results in blackout “kidneys”. Also could not get a sharp image even after spending some time trying to slowly and precisely focus. I really wanted to like these binoculars but they are going back Read more

I bought these at a store in person, rather than on amazon. I bought them on sale for about $60. I am headed to Yellowstone in a week and my old binoculars had bit the dust. I wasn’t willing to chance not having a pair for my trip. My initial impression is that these work fine as expected. My pair came with lens covers, covers for the eyepieces, a strap, cleaning cloth and case. I appreciate the case as I haven’t had one in the past. These binoculars have a twist up feature (twist down for glasses). I wear glasses but I seem to have an easier time using them when twisted up. The main con to these so far is that they are quite heavy. I am a birder, and wanted something I can take when I look for birds. As I also have my camera around my neck, wearing both is quite heavy and I’m worried I will end up with my shoulders, neck or head hurting as a result. I also sometimes have a little blackness obscure my vision, as I have had with some binoculars. I am thinking this may be the way these fit. However, I’m adjusting and having less problem with this. I am rating this as a 3 mainly because I am unsure how I will end up feeling about these. I will change my rating in the future if my impression changes. Read more
