This scope is one of the best scopes I own, and for the price maybe the best. The optics are clear and bright. The reticle is adjustable in standard 1/4 MOA units with a resettable zero. The resettable zero is nice for tweaking in the scope without fear of losing your known/original zero. And since I’m talking about it, the reticle is the only reason I didn’t give this scope a full 5 stars it deserves. Burris seems to have forgotten about supporting the “Ballistic Plex” with bullet path software, or maybe they just haven’t gotten around to it yet 🙁 The Burris website has a few examples that probably won’t fit many users exactly, hence some homework is required. After reading the users manual a couple times the most important bit of information on the reticle was the drop in inches of the hold overs, they are -3.1@200y, -13.5@300y, -30.1@400y, and 55.3@500y. And since Burris currently has no available ballistic software I used the one on the Federal ammo website to match up the hold overs. In short, I found that by using 150gr bullets in my 30-06 the hold overs are nearly dead on. In summary, a great scope that could use some software support. P.S. use medium height rings. Read more

Great scope with clear glass for cheap!!! I have this scope on 270 that I use for hunting and it works great out to 400 yards and thats what I expected with a 3X9. If you want to shoot past that I recommend a more expensive scope with higher power! Read more

Why some engineer would put screws on the bottom of the scope is beyond me. I try to get my scope as low as possible but on 6 power my bolt will hang up on the power ring screw and then scratch my bolt on the screw on the eye bell. It’s so refreshing to spends months building a custom Mauser and watch my beautifully polished bolt get the crap scratched out of it. But I’ll bet my bottom dollar that the people that design scopes have any real experience in hunting. I gave it 3 stars because of the screws. The rest of the scope is fine slaying zombies with your AR if that is what your into. Read more
