I got these strengtheners in red color to exercise my palms regularly. When new, they look good and work well. Spring and the restrainer plate have nice and uniform chrome plating finish. Handle grips have nice cushion, but I suspect that they might deteriorate first. I have this pain in my right hand at the base of ring and middle finger. I think it started after the bowling event last year and never went away fully. On some days, it is bad and most days I don’t even remember I have this problem. My work involves day long computer use, so I thought using these grips might help recover from the pain, if not, it is good for me anyway. These are medium resistance grips and hence easy to use. I have been using these for a couple of days now and I feel good after every session. In order to avoid the annoying noise from the metal restraining plate, I suggest you use the grip with the spring facing down. That way the plate movement is restricted and less annoying. I like this product and would recommend it. Read more

Growing up, my older brother had a pair of grip strengtheners, they had hard red handles and a metal S clip to govern them. Fast forward 30 yrs and the tech is basically the same with a couple of minor changes. First off, my pair arrived separated from the cardboard backing that I assume they were suppose to be attached to by either a twist tie or some sort of plastic tie, either way, they were not and the cardboard backing was pretty destroyed. So, packaging of the product was not great. With that aside, the first thing I noticed was that the grips as a unit is small. I didn’t see anything on the packaging stating wether it was intended as gender specific, but never the less, it is made for smaller hands. The foam grip handles feel nice and absorb a lot of the pressure against the palm and hands when gripped. Much better than the hard red handles i had when growing up. 🙂 The bottom of the foam grips does appear to be fragile, so care needs to be given not to tear them. The cross clip is no longer a S shape clip, but a solid metal tab with holes which fit over the spring arms to keep it from expanding too far. Similar to the S clip, it too does have the occasional hang up where the squeezing/release of the grip motion is interrupted by the hitch of the clip. The last thing I’d mention is that this set is as noisy as I expected. Guess there’s no real way around this, it is what it is, even after 30 yrs of advancement, a grip strengthener is still basically the same. For the price, it’s nice to have around and I would recommend. I told the kiddos, if they like fidget toys so much, play with this. lol Read more

These are very good pair of hand grippers which offer a great way to reduce stress and improve your hands muscle grip. I have kept them on my work table and frequently use them while doing my work. It offers a good way to de-stress while at the same time allowing some exercise of my hands especially the one that is used for holding the mouse all day long. Honestly, it is helping a tad bit in relaxing the wrists as well. It’s medium strength is also something that makes these grippers usable. Higher strength grippers are more difficult to use as they needs a lot more strength and have considerably less flex. The soft grip provides a lot of comfort while these are is use as it leads to a firmer grip. The spring mechanism appears very sturdy though that is something you can judge over a long period of time only. In addition to this there’s a stopper which prevents the grippers from extending beyond a certain span. Overall, very happy with this product, it is really helping me. Read more

I’m an adult female and the medium hand grips work great for me. (My husband has ones that are bigger and have a higher resistance and those are a little too much for me to use) The grip part is about 3.5 inches on each side. My hands fit perfectly on the grip although my husband can use the grips just fine even though his hands are larger than mine. The padding on the grips is sufficient. I’ve noticed the older I get, my fingers don’t move as well as they used to, most likely due to arthritis which runs in the family. These hand grips are great for keeping my hands active and you can kinda multitask when using them. I’ll do some reps while watching tv or reading something on my office computer. They are also a good stress reliever. The only minor criticism is sometimes the metal plate thing that connects the two sides gets stuck on the metal part going up. It doesn’t affect using the grips but you do hear a loud popping noise once it becomes unstuck and moves up the metal part again. Read more

As somebody who is still recovering from a pretty nasty break or should I say shattering of my left wrist, I’ve come to really enjoy and appreciate these grips. Even though I only need it for my left hand, or rather my left wrist, it has worked out extremely well. All of us have different needs I suppose if we’re purchasing something like this or even shopping for something like this, but coming from not being able to hardly squeeze anything for a long time to being able to really work my hand muscles and getting everything back going in order… this is been great. Guess I’ll just say that the foam is high-quality, the spring and metal is high-quality, and not exactly something that’s going to fall apart anytime soon. As a matter fact, if one was interested, this is the sort of thing that could be handed down from generation to generation hehehe. Just not sure how it’s ever going to break is my point! I Highly recommend it. Read more
