product description

the cmr-ak762 is equal in every way to the cmr14x24, besides for the reticle, which has been designed across the ballistics of the 7. 62x39mm cartridge. The reticle still contains the illuminated middle circle and dot, plus ranging brackets for purchasing on target quickly and understanding the variety whilst a shot or photographs must be taken immediately. For longer tiers with the 7. 62x39mm spherical, the reticle capabilities bullet drop compensating hold over lines to 900 meters. The same hold over strains may be used to 550 meters for target paintings with rifles in. Three hundred blk or. 300 whisper. At 4x the reticle additionally includes a characteristic for estimating range to one,000 yards. This version of the cmr scope is constructed with a inflexible 30mm aluminum tube, and the variable magnification ring may be taken from 1x to 4x, or again, with the flick of the shooter’s thumb. Like the original cmr, the 1x placing gives the shooter genuine 1x magnification. Brightness of the illuminated middle reticle can be adjusted as needed thanks to an 11-placing rheostat. Every other splendid function of this scope is the hi-lux optics “0 locking machine”, which allows windage and elevation alignments to be locked in region, with just sufficient minor adjustment for adapting the placing to taking pictures situations or range – then being able to exactly go back to the authentic settings.

so I have 4 of their scopes now. three of the standard 1-4 cmrs and then this one. I bought the first one on a chance after reading a review. I also researched across the web. the first one was such a deal for the price that I bought two more. I currently have them on Sig556 (5.56), HK93 and a PTR91 pistol in 308. I went with the new AK version for my Sig556R. the glass is really clear, I like the range stadia on the right (very PSO) and while I understand that concept of the new reticle of this scope, I think I will have to do some work to remember it. since it is a second focal plane reticle it does not change size as you zoom. trying to find that small inverted chevron for 100 yards may be forgotten in a pressure situation, so I will zero it per the instructions an then just use the center don’t and see where they hit at 100 since the center dot is good for 200 as well. lets all remember what this is really for CLOSE MEDIUM RANGE…. I am not expecting to turn this into a DMR scope and while I can hit e-type targets at 300 yards with old A2 sights, I am not confused as to what ranges I expect to engage targets with the 762×39 round. 200 yards is my expected long range and in my area I am hard pressed to see beyond that anyway. I prefer the green reticle on these versus the red and the only 2 things I wish this had were a 1-6 or a 1-8 range (yeah I know) and off detents between the power settings so you could just go up or down one and not have to spin it to win it with a brightness setting. I have looked at the Millet, Bushnell, Vortex and all of that. I don’t think you can find the price and features anything close to this personally. I realize that a scope makes the rifle, but for my 0-300 yard guidelines and budget, and the fact that I have multiple rifles to put glass on, I would have gladly humped this back in my day and not had a worry. the zero stop works well enough as well, just RTFM so you are in line with their thinking….. Let me preface this review by saying that for the money, you will be hard-pressed to find a variable zoom optic that gives you more value. My only complaints is a very limited FOV, which is to be expected, and EXTREMELY sensitive scope shadow, which is not ideal for a close-range optic. However, it provides you with a good bright reticle, an extremely clear picture, robust build, and very easy adjustments to zero. Read more

The glass is clear and it’s a very nice optic, but there are many out there now. I might buy again or look elsewhere. Read more
